Paper or Electronic

I am currently teaching an online graduate class called Digital Rhetoric. We are half-way through it, and, so far, the liveliest discussion on the blog has been the one about the relative benefits of paper-based vs. electronic texts. This is, of course, not a new debate, but I wonder if, with this group of students who are mostly studying technical and scientific communication and who are used to working in both print and electronic media, the problem is not more interesting because they are and will be working in both kinds of media and because our programs requires them to become proficient in both.
